The Situation
Bad puns aside, when Leichhardt Park Aquatic Centre started renovations they called Active Air Rentals to help with connecting and ducting in temporary HVAC.
The plan required one of their outdoor pools to be covered with a large temporary structure / marquee with temporary air conditioning ducted in from their existing HVAC system.
The Solution
After a site visit the Active Air team specified:
- 2 x fabric ducting runs each measuring 32.5m long
- Custom made sheet metal connection boxes to fit the ducting onto their existing HVAC system
The Outcome
The ducting was installed successfully and the custom connection box is working perfectly. Swimmers are enjoying warm temperatures despite it being the middle of winter and swimming in an outdoor pool.
